Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026

Your phone number is never revealed to any other user — not before a task, not during it, not after it. Ever.

Who we are

KaamKa is a hyperlocal physical task marketplace operated by Sankalp Shambharkar, Vadodara, Gujarat, India. KaamKa is the data fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act). For privacy queries, contact our Data Protection Officer at sankalp75shambharkar@gmail.com.

What we collect

We collect only what is needed to run the marketplace: hashed mobile number for identity, display name (first + last initial), city and neighbourhood for location matching, device location during active tasks, messages and offer history for dispute records, checkpoint proofs (photos/videos) for task verification, call recordings for dispute resolution only, location trail at 30-second intervals during active tasks, payment references for transaction records, and PAN and bank details from doers for regulatory KYC and payout processing.

What we never collect

We never collect Aadhaar numbers. We never collect biometric data. We never use tracking cookies for advertising. There are no ad pixels or remarketing tags. We never sell your data to any third party, not in aggregate, not anonymized. We never use your data to train AI models. Your phone number is stored as a one-way hash only and cannot be reversed.

Data retention

Messages and checkpoint proofs are retained permanently as contract records. Call recordings and location trails are automatically deleted 45 days after task completion, or retained until a dispute is closed. Account data is deleted upon account deletion request. PAN and bank details are retained for regulatory compliance as required by Indian tax law.

Your rights

Under the DPDP Act 2023, you have the right to access your personal data, correct inaccurate data, erase your data (subject to legal retention requirements), and nominate a representative to exercise your rights. Contact our Data Protection Officer to exercise any of these rights. We will respond within the timeframe prescribed by the DPDP Act.
